The original Pier 5 was built 1980 and was in need of updating to facilitate the growing numbers of arriving & departing passengers.
The £75m project commenced early 2012 and was split over two phases.
Once completed, the pier will be able to accommodate more planes and allow passengers to navigate arrivals and departures without affecting each other, providing a more efficient experience for all concerned.
